Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (EN) Review
Hey everybody,
Fun fact: the original title for this movie is Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales, but for some reason they changed that and in many other countries, including the Netherlands, it is known only as Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge. That is the reason why my other review written in Dutch has the different name. The odds were never really in the favor for this movie, because I'm not a major fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and of Johnny Depp. However I found that it was my duty for my blog to see it and I was actually really curious. I know this is a fantasy franchise and not realistic at all, but even in this genre there are forms of unrealistic. If you look past these unrealistic moments and try to see the joy and fun of it, this movie is bareable and entertaining. Captain Jack Sparrow has his typical moments again and his character is part of the reason this movie isn't a disaster. This is one of the better sequels the franchise has created. It will not top the original in any way, but would serve as a perfect final addiction to the franchise. The only problem is that Hollywood won't keep it that way.
