Split (EN) Review

Hey everybody,

I'm actually writing this review now because I'm too scared to go to sleep. I just got out of a screening of Split. I don't know if I'll be able to describe what I am feeling right now.
James McAvoy had already proven that he was a great actor but this performance just blew me away. He was aboslutely astonishing and very convincing as Kevin, Dennis or any of the other personalities. He portrayed each and any of one them in a unique way. It was amazing to see the changes in his face when he switched from personality to personality.
I'm not a fan of horror movies and I wasn't convinced this was going to be my kind of movie, but the fact that it got registered as thriller mainly convinced me. Nonetheless it was a big step for me, I found the story very interesting, not that thrilling even in the beginning, and I thought I was going to be save. I was so wrong: at the end of the movie, when all the pieces came together, I found myself covering my eyes with my hands and my popcorn bucket. What an amazing experience. I am so glad that M. Night Shyamalan has finally brought back some of his magic. Split is brought to life by a well thought out story and some thrilling cinematography. An absolute must see.
