MovieManouk going abroad

Hey everybody,

Do you remember when I wrote this quote in my Fall Movie Preview 2017 blog: 'This fall will be pretty weird for me, because I will probably won't have the chance to see most of these movies in the theater'. Well, it's finally time to explain what I meant by this quote. I may have mentioned somewhere in some blog or review that I'm currently studying to become a Dental Hygienist. After 3 years I finally reached my final year. This year I was given the opportion to study abroad and I took this opportunity with both hands.

From October 20 till December 17 I will carry out voluntary work in Thailand and Cambodia. I will also travel around those two countries and will probably become a typical tourist. You know, the one who constantly takes pictures and has a standard look of amazement on her face. You may guess that going abroad is going to have some consequences on my daily life. For example, I have to say goodbye to my friends and family for 2 months. But maybe more importantly for you as a reader: I will not be able to write any blog or review. There is a big, big chance that I probably won't see the inside of a theater for 8 weeks. It actually pains me to think about not being able to see Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League in theater. These are the two biggest movies coming out that I will miss. There is a very small chance Thor: Ragnarok will still be playing when I come home, but I might have a chance to catch Justice League in cinema's at the end of December.

But, going abroad also brings a lot of opportunities, of course. How awesome would it be if I get the chance to watch Thor Ragnarok in a theater in Thailand? That will be one heck of an experience. Still I will not be able to write a review about the movie, but at least I can access social media without the movie being spoiled for me.

The last announcement I would like to make concerns my travel stories. I already started a second blog in which I tell you about my adventures, struggles and feelings during my abroad time. There is however one drawback: it is written in Dutch. My English is improving, at least I hope so, but it's much, much easier for me to write in my native language, which is Dutch. Any of you Dutch guys, or anybody who is willing to learn Dutch in less then a month, visit https://manoukopreis.blogspot.nl/ and keep up with my adventures.

Any questions about my trip? Ask them in the comments or on Twitter (@MovieManouk) and I hope to speak to you guys soon!

With love,

MovieManouk
