Spider-Man 3.0
Hey everybody,
It has been 3 days now since I saw Captain America: Civil War and my heart rate is finally starting to slow down a little bit. In my full review I've already given my compliments to the new Spider-Man but I thought it would be fun to write a little more about the famous Wall crawler.
My first encounter with the Web-Slinger was in 2012 when I saw The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). I was then only 15 years old, I was a romantic comedy kinda girl and that movie totally blew me away. I always remember it as the day I became a geek. From that moment I stopped watching romantic comedies and became the superhero/fantasy/sci-fi/action loving person that I am today. So obviously for me Andrew Garfield was Spider-Man. I later saw the original triology with Tobey Magiure in the famous red and blue suite but for me he never was Spidey. And even after the big disappointment that was The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Andrew still was my Spider-Man.
When I heard that Spider-Man would be joining the MCU I was really excited. But the one thing that still annoys me is the fact that The Amazing Spider-Man movies were supossed to be a triology, but after the failure of the second movie Spidey went to the MCU. They left us with a lot of loose ends that needed tying up and questions that are never going to be answered. Very annoying for the curious person that I am. I would have liked to know who that person with the hat was. My guess? Defenitly Doctor Octopus, but we'll never know *sighs*.
So that brings us to the new Web Crawler. A younger Spider-Man then we have previously seen, portrait by Tom Holland who himself is only 19 years old. The first moment he showed up in his new suit (picture above) something amazing happened which I only just now realize. He instantly became my new Spider-Man. He did something Tobey Maguire could never accomplish. He was so funny and convincing as Spidey that I just fell in love immediatly. I'm so looking forward of seeing more of him. When will we see more of him? Next year in his own movie called Spider-Man: Homecoming (27-07-2017) which will also star Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. In the comics Iron Man and Spidey always have a special relationship. Iron Man is Spidey his idol and sort of mentor and their dynamic was already shown really well in Civil War. If you're not excited yet something is really wrong with you.
Spider-Man is such a beloved character and I know that he is in the right hands with Marvel.

PS.
The only thing that needs to happen next is that 20 Century Fox give the rights to Marvels first original team, the Fantastic Four, back to Marvel so that they can get their own good movie that is going to do justice to the characters. They deserve that after all these years of service.
