Hey everybody, Here's my weekly *SPOILER* recap of the latest Game of Thrones episode. I will list the most important  developments of this week's epidose. This week's that will be Episode 3 'The Queen's Justice'. Jon Snow arrives at Dragonstone. He and Daenerys have a heated conversation: he refuses to bend the knee for her and she has trouble beleiving him when he tells her about the White Walkers. With help from Tyrion Jon is allowed to mine the Dragonglass beneath the city, but has not yet pledged alliance to Daenerys . Euron Greyjoy arrives at King's Landing with Yara , Ellaria and her daughter. Cersei has her revenge on Ellaria for killing Myrcella . She poisons Ellaria's daughter the same way Ellaria poisoned Myrcella .  Samwell Tarly has succesfully threated Jorah . He is free to leave Oldtown and is ready to return to Daenerys . Sansa is doing an excellent job as Lady of Winterfell. She's surprised when she's reunit...

This week's that will be Episode 2 'Stormborn'. Daenerys makes sure Lord Varys his loyalty is with her. She meets with Melisandre. Tyrion advises her to send a raven to Winterfell to meet with Jon Snow.  The raven from Dragonstone reaches Winterfell.  Sansa  and Davos don't want Jon to go, but Jon thinks he need to go because of the Dragonglass hidden beneath Dragonstone. Together with Davos he sets out to meet Daenerys and leaves Winterfell to Sansa .   Jorah Mormont greyscale has progressed rapidly. The Archmaester don't think it can be cured, but luckely  Samwell does. He sneaks into his room and tries to cure him with the knowledge of an old Archmaester.  Cersei is seeking allies and ways to destroy Daenerys . Qyburn finds a wapen hidden beneath Kings Landing that can possibly...

Hey everybody, Here's my weekly *SPOILER* recap of the latest Game of Thrones episode. I will list the most important developments. Let's start with Episode 1 'Dragonstone' Jon Snow , reunited with Sansa at Winterfell, tries to figure out how to take back the loyalty of the North. He also declares that he will start a wide search to find Dragonglass. Dragonglass is the only material that can kill White Walkers.  Cersei Lannister , now Queen of the Seven Kingdoms (three at most according to Jaime ), invites Euron Greyjoy to Kings Landing in search for new allies. He insist on marrying Cersei , but she doesn't want that until he returns with a gift for her. Euron sets out on a search to find a gift worthy of a queen. Arya Stark  disguised as Walder Frey , murders everyone of House Frey that was involved in the Red Wedding. She also shares the screen with a not so subtle cameo of Ed Sheeran. Samwell Tarly , now learning to become a Maester at Oldtown, has...

Hoi allemaal, Dit klinkt misschien raar, maar ik voel altijd een soort van trots als een Hollywood film gefilmd is in Nederland. Het komt dan waarschijnlijk ook niet als verrassing als ik je nu vertel dat Dunkirk gedeeltelijk is opgenomen in Nederland. Ik wil niet te opschepperig klinken maar ik moet zeggen dat Nederland zich leent voor wat mooie beelden en scenes. Dunkirk  is opgenomen op een unieke manier. De film geeft een erg intens gevoel door de setting, maar geeft nooit dat extreme gevoel dat ik had bij het kijken van Hacksaw Ridge  (2016). De film concentreert zich op een paar verhaallijnen en karakters, die uiteindelijk samen komen. De karakters zijn niet erg uitgewerkt, sommige van hun worden nooit bij naam genoemd, en er is erg weinig dialoog in de film, maar het is wel heel passend voor de manier waarop dit verhaal verteld wordt. Het maakt het wel moeilijk om je te relateren aan de karakters op een bepaald level. Maar aan de andere kant: deze mannen zijn slacht...

Hey everybody, This may sound weird, but I always feel some sort of pride when a Hollywood movie is shot in The Netherlands. So it may not come as a surprise if I tell you Dunkirk is partly shot in The Netherlands. I don't want to sound too cocky but I must say The Netherlands lands itself to some pretty amazing shots and scenes. Dunkirk  overal is shot in a unique way. The movie has a very intens feeling because of the setting, but never gets that extreme feeling which I felt watching Hacksaw Ridge  (2016). The movie focuses on a few storylines and characters, who eventually come together. The characters aren’t very developed, some of them are never called by their names, and there is very little dialogue througout the movie, but that is only suiting for the way this story is told. It makes it however a bit difficult to relate to this characters on a certain level. On the other hand: these men are victims of the war and I can fully understand why they want to go home....

Hoi allemaal, Er is niets moeilijker dan een perfecte einde brengen aan een triologie. Om een einde te brengen die de serie eer aan doet en niet onderdoet aan zijn voorgangers, is niet altijd Hollywood's sterkste punt. Gelukkig is  War for the Planet of the Apes  alles waar we op gehoopt hadden. De hele triologie heeft altijd al een sterke verhaallijn gehad, die nu eindigt in een gedachten provocerende manier. Ik moet toegeven dat het niet helemaal eindigt als ik had verwacht, en de oorlog loopt ook anders dan verwacht, maar dat maakt de film wel weer een verrassing en bewijst maar dat je nooit alleen af moet gaan op de trailers. Ik ben van plan een campagne te starten om Andy Serkis de Oscar te geven die hij verdient.  Deze man heeft zoveel betekent voor de film industrie en de ontwikkeling van motion capture. Hij heeft al fantastische personages als Gollum, King Kong en nu Caesar tot leven gebracht. Hij en Woody Harrelson hebben een geweldige chemie op het scherm, en ...

Hey everybody, There is nothing more difficult then to bring the perfect end to a triology. To deliver an end that does justice to the serie and isn't inferior to its predecessors, isn't always Hollywood strongest point. Luckily  War of the Planet of the Apes  is everything you could hope for. The whole triology always had an incredibly powerful storyline, which ends in a thought provoking way. I must admit it didn't ended the way I thought it would, and the war we see is also a bit different then expected, but it keeps the movie a surprise and proves trailers can be very misleading. I'm planning a campaign to give Andy Serkis the Oscar he deserves. This man has meant so much for the movie industry and the development of motion capture. He has brought to life incredible characters like Gollum, King Kong and now Caesar. He and Woody Harrelson have a great chemistry on screen, and are worthy opponents. However the movie isn't without a few tiny flaws. It has a very ...
