Hey everybody, Summer is over and this summer season was off to a great start, but the last few weeks have been pretty 'boring'. Luckily there is more rain coming and the leaves will start to fall, which is always a good reason to get your ass over to the theatre and today I will give you the perfect list to find out what might interest you this fall. Enjoy! OCTOBER October 5 Venom  When Eddie Brock acquires the powers of a symbiote, he will have to release his alter-ego "Venom" to save his life. August & September reviews - Christopher Robin and The House with a Clock in Its Walls

Hey everybody, If anyone is wondering, no I am not sick or feeling ill, there was just nothing to see these past two months in my opinion and my personal life was really busy. I don't know how I can otherwise explain the fact that I've visit the theater twice in almost 60 days. Luckily those days are over and I am here to review them.    Christopher Robin   (★★★☆☆) I know my birthday has just passed, but can someone give me a Pooh bear please? The fuzzy little old bear and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood will charm their way of the screen and will learn you a valuable life lesson, even though you can see that life lesson coming from far, far away.  The House with a Clock in Its Walls   (★★★☆☆) Who'd have thought that Jack Black and Cate Blanchett would quite the pair. Together they carry this charming and creepy fantasty movie. I say 'creepy' because some parts really creeped me out where I probably should have been scared, but this movie is bette...

July reviews - Mamma Mia! 2, Ant-Man 2 and M:I-6

Hey everybody, Summer is here and it's on in The Netherlands. Last week the temperature reaches up to 36 degrees (Celcius). So the hot weather gives plenty of oppurtinity to go to the cinema in search of some cooling. This month's themes are 'sequels' and 'installments'; from the 20th installment to the MCU to the 6th installment to the Mission: Impossible franchise. Ant-Man and the Wasp  (★★★★☆) The long wait for Avengers 4 has only just begon; but luckily there is plenty of Marvel fun inbetween to enjoy. The Ant-Man sequel is another fine example that the Marvel studio is the producer of solid and fun movies. The movie isn't really special or one of Marvel's best; but it provides plenty of action, fun and lots of laughs from the hilarious cast and script. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (★★★☆☆) If I have one guilty pleasure in the land of movies, then it's defenitly the movie Mamma Mia!. Maybe because I was raised listening to the songs of ABB...

June reviews - Jurassic World 2, Ocean's 8 and Star Wars

Hey everybody, After the disapointment that was last May, June was a lot better. I got to see the Jurassic World sequel, the Ocean's spin-off with an all female cast and finally the origin of Han Solo; so let's get into that right now. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (★★★☆☆) Who can argue with the fact that dinosaurs still hold a pretty special place in the heart of almost everybody; because seeing them on the big screen is still awesome. The Jurassic World sequel is a fun and very entertaining sequel. It's not the most original movie, but do we need any excuse to see dinosaurs be badass on the big screen? I think what saved this movie is the fact that they upped the horror-monster factor with the introduction of a new scary dinosaur, and I can only wait and see what they will bring in Jurassic World 3 Ocean's Eight (★★☆☆☆) An Ocean's Eleven spin-off with an all female cast including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham-Carter; sounds like an aw...

May reviews - Deadpool 2

Hey everybody, Summer is here and people are genuinely more happier. I don't know if that's because the sun started to shine more often or because Avengers: Infinity War has become one of the biggest movie hits yet. But that movie is 'already' a month old and we still got a whole lot of great stuff coming our way. First of all I want to apologize for this month, because as the title suggest I only will be reviewing Deadpool 2. That's pretty shameful, but I am in the final stage of my education and my personal life has been pretty hectic these past few weeks. That is why I haven't had the time yet to see Solo: A Star Wars Story . I just hope I can conclude it by the end of June. Deadpool 2 (★★★★☆)  Remember the speech I always give about making sequels etcetera? Well, people always expect sequels to be better then the original right? Deadpool 2 is not better then the first one, but I would say it's very similar. If you liked the first one, you will a...

April reviews - Rampage and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Hey everybody, April was a pretty 'boring' month if it wasn't for the release of the most anticipated movie of the MCU so far: Avengers: Infinity War. I have only seen two movies in cinema this month, and that is pretty rare in my life. We'll see if make that up in the next few weeks, but first let's review April Rampage (★★★☆☆) If you look closely, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, is probably not the best actor in Hollywood, but the man does have quite a lot of charism. That is why only he could carry this movie. The plot is Rampage is very thin, but it's only an excuse to see big monsters battle each other and mankind. Let's be honest that is the only reason why you would see Rampage, and they succeeded in bringing that in full monster glory Avengers: Infinity War (★★★★★) I don't know where to start here, but for a massive MCU fan like me, Infinity War was an emotional but thrilling rollercoaster ride. The action, the humor and the drama is...

Hey everybody, The sun here in the Netherlands is shining again, and that means summer is on it's way. Summer movie season officially starts at the beginning of May. Now since Avengers: Infinity War was released a week earlier, it officially doesn't belong on this list anymore, but I couldn't help to give a shout-out to it. Luckily there are plenty more anticipated movies to be released this summer.    Just like last year I am here to shed a light at the summer movies that will be released between May and August that will hopefully blow us away. MAY May 18 Deadpool 2 After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to dis...
