Marx: origin, powers and more

In my blog about Dutch Comic Con 2017 (http://moviemanouk.blogspot.nl/2017/03/dutch-comic-con-2017-marx.html) I told you that I created my own character for Dutch Comic Con. This blog is to learn more about her. Her name is Marx and continue reading if you want to find out more about her.
Marx
Origin
Professor, Doctor, Lady or even Princess, since she technically is one, Marx doesn't really care what you call her but just 'Marx' will do it for her. Marx is not a very usual name for a female here on Earth but on her home planet it has a great meaning, one that can not be described by any words used on our Earth. Her parents are king and queen on a far away planet which was at that point not yet discovered by the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the residents on that planet like to keep it that way. Sounds resionable, but for a young princess who wanted nothing more then to see and explore the galaxy, it's a cruel fate not to be able to leave your planet. She ran away from home as soon as she officially became a woman. She then begin her own journey and discovered every corner of the galaxy which was possible. At one point she came into contact with Star Lord himself and he told her about his homeplanet Earth. Fascinated to hear about this planet she decided to visit Earth and fell in love. Though she is not bound to Earth, she finds it extremely peaceful to be on our planet. She loves humans and likes to keep in touch with Earth's Mightiest Heroes once every while.
Powers
Marx' powers include superhuman strength. She heals faster then most humans, but not as fast as Deadpool or Wolverine. I think I would be unfit to describe her other power, since I don't fully understand it myself, so I'll let her do the explaining. Marx: 'My people believe that an energy of life floats through every living being but also through most objects. This energy is embedded in their very cells and molecules. I can control this energy. I can manipulate people's mind and body if I want, but I have no intention in doing that for a bad cause. I can feel the energy floating through everyone and everything. I can feel their souls and intentions. I'll know when they are lying, but I always try to see and feel the best in them. I'll know when there's still hope for someone, when not all life energy has turned to darkness, but when there's still light inside of them. I won't give up until that energy has reached the surface again.'
To translate that: her powers are some a form of mind control, if she wishes, but she made clear that she would never uses it to harm any human being. Besides that she's also telekinetic and can move any object with her mind.
Appearance
The color purple has many earthly meanings: creativity, wisdom, power and ambition are just a few examples. But the most important of them is; royalty. This meaning we share with Marx's home planet believes. On her planet purple is the color of the royal family and though she mostly wants nothing to do with the fact that she is royalty, she wears the color with a certain pride. Her costume, shown in the picture, is very simple, but efficient. Her full suit will be revealed after Dutch Comic Con.
