Finding Dory (EN) Review
Hey everybody,
I noticed that in a lot of my reviews I use three specific words: It is tricky. And well .. it is true. Making a movie is a tricky business and especially making a sequel to a movie that is so beloved by everybody, including me. So I did something that is either the best or the worst idea: I went to a moviemarathon were they first showed Finding Nemo (2005) and then Finding Dory.
In Finding Dory we follow Dory when she goes on a search for her long lost family. That search is even more difficult then it sounds because Dory suffers from shortterm memory loss. This disability is what made her such a populair character in the first movie, but can a movie around a fish with shortterm memory loss hold it's own? Do you want to spend 90 minutes with a fish who constantly keeps forgetting what she's doing or why she's doing it? Yes, you definitly want to!
Finding Dory builds on it's great characters and with the story line very simular to the original one -the search for her family brings them across the entire ocean- we meet a bunch of new sea creatures who are again amazing and very funny. Although the funniest character in my opinion still remains Marlin, the over-protective dad. Kids will love to meet all these new characters. I can honestly say that it is not as great as the first one, but Pixar did yet again an amazing job making a wonderful heartwarming movie.
Just keep swimming!
