Warcraft (EN) Review

Hey everybody,

When you decide to make a movie based on a game, you must know that it will only be appealing to a select group of people: the people who've played the game. Nonetheless there are always layman like me who will see it. So you have to make a movie that's understandeble for people who haven't played the game and those who know it inside out. That's not an easy job.

Warcraft or Warcraft the Beginning follows the story of the war between Men and Orc and how that came to be. When the land of the Orcs is dying they go on a search for a new home: Azaroth, the home of Men. A war between the two species begins, but not all of the Orcs are on the same side. Will they find a way to coexist?

So, as I previously said, I am not familiair with the world of Warcraft, but that didn't meant I wasn't willing to step into this new world with an open mind. I'm a big fantasy fan and it's always nice to delve into a new world, with new characters and species. I can't tell you if they adapted the game right, but the movie was certainly enjoyable. The characters were a little under developed, but they've create a whole new world that can be explored so we can get to know them better and learn about all the elements of this world. Not the best movie I've seen, but defenitly worth watching, even if it's just to see if this world interests you.
