Alice Through The Looking Glass (EN) Review
Hey everybody,
When you start watching a movie starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonhem Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen, with Tim Burton as its director, you know you're in for a 'freakshow' and a visual spectacle. If you're looking for that in a movie, then Alice Through The Looking Glass is the perfect movie for you.
In this sequel to Alice in Wonderland (2010) Alice must travel back to Underland to save her friend the Mad Hatter, who has become ill. The only way to do that, is to travel back in time. But messing with time is a dangerous thing to do, will she succeed and be able to save the Mad Hatter?
I wasn't enthousiastic about this movie when I heard it was being made. I'm not a fan of Team Burton/Depp, even though they have made some good movies together, but not in the last couple of years. It feels like Johnny Depp is becoming more and more an impersonation of himself. The visuals though are amazing , but the story is really thin. It wasn't as bad as I'd expected and I really liked Sasha Baron Cohen's performance as Time. He was one of the few new characters, he didn't have to reprise his role and therefore had a fresh take on the part.

3/5
P.S. For the Potterheads among you, this was the last performance of Alan Rickman and it was a little emotional to hear his voice. R.I.P. Professor Snape
