Hey everybody, With the release of yet another book-to-movie adaptation, brings back the usual question: 'Which of the two should be watched/read first?' Opinions on the matter differ very much. Reading a book you probably create a vision in your head about the characters and setting. Seeing the movie can be disappointing when it isn't the way you imagined it, or pleasing when it's better then the way you imagined it. They're many examples of great adaptations like the Harry Potter franchise or The Lord of the Rings Triology, but also many that failed to deliver. Movies often differ from the books, which can anger fans immensely. I could go on and on about this matter for hours but it's probably better to get back to the subject that matter today: the release of The Dark Tower based on the popular book series by Stephen King.
