Game of Thrones S07E06 Recap

Hey everybody,

Here's my weekly *SPOILER* recap of the latest Game of Thrones episode. I will list the most important developments of this week's epidose. This week's that will be Episode 6 'Beyond the Wall'.

  • Jon, Jorah, The Hound, Beric Dondarrion, Thoros, Gendry, Tormund and the rest of the Brotherhood without Banners have gone beyond the Wall. They face many threats but manage to capture a wight from a small group. The wight calls for help and the Army of the Dead attacks the group. They send Gendry back to Eastwatch to get help from Daenerys while they get trapped on a small rock. When Daenerys receives the raven from Gendry Tyrion advices her not to go but she ignores him and flies beyond the Wall with her three dragons. The Army of the Dead can't get to the group at first, but then they attack at full might and not everyone makes it out alive. When Daenerys comes to save them one her dragons Viserion is hit by the spear of the Night King and dies. They are then forced to leave without Jon. Jon luckily gets saved by a familiair face who sends him back to the Wall but he's in bad shape. When he wakes up he pledges loyalty to 'Dany' and she promises him to destroy the Night King and his army. The Army of the Dead pull Viserion's body out of the water and the Night King turns him into a wight dragon.
  • In Winterfell the tension between Sansa and Arya rises, because of the letter Arya found in Littlefinger's chambers which he put there for her to find. Sansa seeks help from Littlefinger who advices her to ask Brienne for help. When Sansa receives an inventation to go to King's Landing she send Brienne in her place. Sansa then decides to search her sister's chambers and finds the faces Arya took. Arya caughts her and makes a threat of some sort.

My heart broke in two pieces when Viserion died. The Night King now has a wight dragon at his command and I think you can guess the consequences. I'de never see this coming, this is so intense. Also intense is the drama between Arya and Sansa. The two sisters couldn't be farther apart from each other. Arya has grown up to become a disturbing young woman for her age.

I however love the bond that is growing between Daenerys and Jon. She has finally seen the real threat and he has finally seen her great potential
