Atomic Blonde (EN) Review
Hey everybody,
We already knew Charlize Theron could kick some serious ass as we've seen her do it in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). But she proves once again that you really shouldn't mess with her in Atomic Blonde and it's impressive to learn that she did most of the stunts herself. Charlize has already stated in an interview that it's not easy for a woman to get this movie made. Hollywood still has a long way to go, but see a movie in which a woman kicks serious ass makes my female heart always very proud. There have always been awesome woman like Princess Leia, Ellen Ripley or Sarah Connor for example, but it's rare to see a woman star in a titular role.
It appears that Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) has set the tone for movies to feature an awesome 80's soundtrack. Atomic Blonde also effectively uses its awesome soundtrack to help you through the movie and to help you get that 80's feeling. The most awesome scene in the movie however works so well because of the absence of music. This is all to make sure you get the brutality, realism and sheer awesomeness of the scene.
