Spider-Man: Homecoming (EN) Review

Hey everybody,

I don't know how exactly they do it, but Marvel just once again proves they're able to tackle almost every challenge they face. I personally think Marvel director Kevin Feige has had such a clear direction from the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that's why these movies work so well.
Spider-Man Homecoming gives us the Spider-Man movie we've all been dying for since the disaster that was Spider-Man 3 (2007). Tom Holland's portrayal of the web-slinger already was one the highlights of last year's Captain America: Civil War (2016), but he truely shines in his stand alone movie. He brings so much heart and humor to this character, and finally gives us that true Spider-Man feeling: Peter is just a high school kid trying to find balance between making his homework and fighting crime as a superhero. This may sound strange, but I'm glad we get to see very little Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. always steals the show as Mr Stark, and I was afraid he was going to steal Spidey's spotlight. Luckily Tom Holland is the true star of this movie and takes every opportunity to shine.

Last note: make sure to stay seated, but you probably already knew that because it's Marvel, until the very end to see by far the funniest after credits scene yet. 😆
